1.you wil need:
-your g730-u10 phone
-usb cable
- the tool, drivers and firmware are all compressed for download from http://consumer.huawei.com/download/down...iteCode=ng
- this tutorial is for windows users, as the linux users could understand it and not the contrary
2. unzip the downloaded file, and rename the Chinese letters in folder names otherwise the flashtool will not work
3. open device manager ( right click computer>properties>device manager)
4. remove phone battery for 5 seconds, then plug it in back and connect the device -while holding the volume up button- through usb
5. wait till windows finish its detection, if a yellow triangle appears in device manager with "phone, preloader, mt6582, or any other unknown device name", right click it then update driver, and guide the installer to the folder: \USB_DRV\Install package - Copy\ after ticking include subfolders.
6. after all drivers installed and no more unknown devices, unplug your phone, and open SP flashtool.exe with administrator privilage by right click and open as administrator
7. make sure that the "usb mode" and "force to high speed" are ticked in the options menu, also the "DA DL All with checksum" is unticked.
8. click scatter loading and guide it to the scatter_file at \User_sign\Rework-Secro folder, and hit download or F9
9. repeat step 4, wait till a green circle appears and unplug phone
10. click scatter loading and choose the scatter_file from \User_sign\pkg_sign folder, and hit firmware>upgrade or F8, wait till files loaded and the bar is white with 0 %
11. repeat step 9 ;p
12. unplug, re-insert battery, long press the power button, it should start normally to the welcome screen.
note:
- the firmware version is: G730-U10 V100R001C00B112CUSTC433D002
- the documentation in the zip file is mis-leading as it is for another phone..
